Private. One couple at a time. Two days.
If you've tried talking it through and it keeps ending the same way, the problem was never that you married the wrong person. It's the old relationship you built by accident. Over two days, we help you close it and start the new one.
Is a private intensive right for us?
Most couples don't need more analysis. They need to stop the pattern that keeps them stuck and learn to build something new, with someone beside them while they do it.
Why two days
An hour a week gives the pattern six days to rebuild. You spend the first twenty minutes catching up on the fight, the last ten wrapping up, and the middle trying to say something real before the clock runs out.
Two days in a private room, with nothing else in the way, is a different thing. You can go deeper than an hour allows. You can try a new way of speaking, get it wrong, and try it again with someone watching who knows what to look for.
And nobody else hears it. There's no group, no other couples, no one you might run into at the supermarket.
The two days
The same four moves our book teaches, done with us in the room.
Before you arrive we talk, so we know what we're walking into. Afterwards we stay in touch to help you keep it going.
Who you'll be with
We've been married for over forty years, and we've sat with couples for more than 20,000 hours.
We know this from the inside as well. One September afternoon, Christine sat heartbroken on the couch while Grant cried in the kitchen. We still loved each other. Neither of us knew how to find our way back.
What we learned finding the way back is in Same Two. New Love., and it's what we bring into the room. You get both of us, for the whole two days.
"By the time we arrived, we were living separately and had almost given up hope. The retreat gave us the breakthrough we needed. For the first time in years, we felt truly seen, heard, and connected. By the end of the experience, John moved back home."
John & Lynette, retreat, 2025
"The Requests and Agreements tool changed everything for us. It gave us a clear and simple way to rebuild trust and hold each other accountable. For the first time in a long time, I felt like we were working as a team again, and that sense of unity has stayed with us since the retreat."
Richard, retreat, 2025
"We came in tired and unsure of where we stood, but left with a renewed sense of love, commitment, and possibility. Having a shared vision for the future has made all the difference."
Joanna, retreat, 2025
The investment
Working through this in weekly sessions takes most couples the best part of a year. That's fifty-odd evenings, a year of the old pattern rebuilding in between, and a bill that grows with every session. This does the work in two uninterrupted days, and the cost is in the range of what a year of weekly sessions would be. You're not paying for two days. You're paying to stop the year.
US$9,995per couple
It's an investment, for both of you, of time and of money. It's for couples who are ready to treat it that way. Apply below, and we'll talk it through before anything is booked.
Apply
One of us reads every application and replies personally within two working days. It's a considered first conversation, not a sales call.
One of us will read it and reply personally within two working days. A copy has gone to your inbox, so check your spam folder if you can't see it.
In person, in Havelock North, New Zealand. Couples travel to us. Tell us where you're coming from in your application and we'll talk through the practical side on the call.
Both of you need to be willing to come. They don't need to be sure it will work. Many couples arrive with one of them unconvinced. Say so in your application and we'll talk about it honestly.
There are no strangers. It's you two and us, in a private room. You say what you're ready to say, at your pace.
Ask what the next year costs if nothing changes: the weekly sessions, the evenings lost, and the cost of separating. Two days is a decision to stop paying that.
Yes, and many do. Same Two. New Love. is $10 and the first week is planned for you. The intensive is for when you want us in the room.
It's relationship work with two people who have done it for decades. It isn't a substitute for specialist care if there is violence, addiction or a mental health crisis in your home.
